What is processed

With your separate consent, Didit processes your government ID, a live selfie, facial data, and extracted date of birth to verify the ID, confirm you are at least 18, perform liveness detection, and match the selfie to the ID portrait.

Why

The checks help confirm age and identity and support anti-catfishing, fraud prevention, and member safety controls.

Choice and account impact

The checkbox begins unchecked, and Didit verification will not launch without separate consent. Ordinary eligible Free members may use The Wheel, Like or Pass, form mutual matches, and message matches without identity or face verification.

The first legitimate Premium activation permanently unlocks this capability, even if Premium later ends before a verification attempt. A Free member may also permanently unlock it after one distinct, valid referred friend successfully completes signup. Sharing, copying, opening, or clicking an invitation does not count, and the referred friend does not need to complete Didit. Paying for Premium or earning referral access does not make an account Verified. Only a successful Didit result confirmed by Our Next Everything grants Verified status, the accessible Our Next Everything rose badge, and the durable Verified Member benefits described on the Verification page.

One friend joining through your invite permanently unlocks verification access only; My Style stays locked. Both Free and Premium members must complete their own verification before using My Style. The member’s own successful verification permanently unlocks My Style, even if no Verification Reward is selected. Separately, that successful verification earns the current Verification Reward pack permanently when available. The pack earned remains theirs if the selected reward changes. Style ownership never changes the official verification badge or result.

Unverified members may publish up to three profile photos. Successfully Verified members may publish up to six. If Premium later expires or is canceled, permanent verification access remains, and a legitimate verification result, rose badge, and six-photo allowance remain unless Didit or a separate security or reverification rule later invalidates that result.

Records and retention

Our Next Everything retains consent evidence, the provider session reference, check outcomes, verified date-of-birth result, and safe audit status. We do not store raw government-ID images or raw selfie/liveness images. Didit processes current provider media under its configured controls, privacy terms, and applicable law. Limited legacy accounts may retain an operational AWS Face Liveness or face-match reference; verified account deletion queues configured provider cleanup and does not complete while a known cleanup remains pending.
