What we use

We may use essential storage to maintain security, preserve a request in progress, and return you to the correct public page. These technologies support requested website features, including account signup, sign-in and eligible web Discovery. The necessary session cookie is not an optional advertising preference; blocking it can prevent authenticated features from working.

When you continue a referral or submit web signup details (a referral is opened or a web account is created), we set the signed first-party __Host-one_referral_installation cookie for referral attribution and duplicate, self-referral, and fraud review. It has Max-Age=31536000 seconds, so it can remain for up to one year after it is set. It is HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, scoped to Path=/, and has no Domain attribute. The cookie is not used for advertising.

Saved form progress

When you edit signup or profile fields, the website may save a form-recovery draft in local storage. It is available for recovery for up to 24 hours; an expired or mismatched draft is cleared the next time signup is opened. Passwords, accepted consent checkboxes, birth dates, dating selections, religion and political views are not saved in this draft. Authenticated drafts are scoped to the current account and are cleared when the account changes or signup finishes. Use “Clear saved signup details” in signup or your browser’s site-data controls to remove the draft. Submitted account information is stored separately on our server. Restricted staff support pages may keep an unfinished reply in tab-session storage. Neither draft is used for advertising or audience analytics.

Privacy and retention

The cookie contains a signed opaque random token. The server uses the raw token only transiently to create a versioned keyed HMAC fingerprint for referral evidence; it does not store the raw token in the referral-evidence table. Clearing cookies ends future installation continuity from that browser. It does not erase limited pseudonymous referral evidence or deletion tombstones already retained for idempotency, fraud prevention, disputes, security, accounting, enforcement, or legal obligations under the Privacy Policy.

Remembering your analytics choice

When optional analytics is available, the first-party local-storage entry one.web.analytics-consent.v1 saves only your allow or reject choice and its consent version. It adds no visitor identifier and remains in that browser until you change your choice or clear site data. If the consent version changes, we ask again before analytics can run. It is separate from Google Analytics cookies and does not itself send data to Google. While analytics is disabled, we do not show an opt-in banner or automatically save a new analytics choice; “Manage analytics” in the footer explains that analytics is off.

Analytics and advertising

Optional Google Analytics 4 measurement is currently disabled. If enabled, it runs only on the public home and How access works pages outside signed-in sessions, after you choose “Allow analytics.” Before that choice, or if you reject analytics, we do not load Google Analytics or send it requests, including cookieless consent or measurement pings. If you allow it, Google Analytics may set first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies containing pseudonymous identifiers for website measurement.

Our selected events measure public-page views, language choices, and Get the app or signup-link clicks using reviewed page addresses and fixed labels. We do not include form contents, private account activity, member identifiers, referral codes, other query values, URL fragments or referring-page addresses. Google also receives browser, device and network information, including your IP address, and session and engagement data when analytics runs. We do not use Google Signals, advertising personalization or cross-site advertising tracking for this website measurement. We keep optional analytics off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, even if a previous analytics choice was saved. Use “Manage analytics” in the footer to reject analytics or withdraw permission. Withdrawal stops further collection and clears the first-party Google Analytics cookies in that browser; the page may reload to complete this. It does not automatically delete information already processed by Google. Clearing site data also removes your saved choice, so analytics requires a new opt-in when next available.

Your choices

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser. Blocking essential storage may interrupt sign-in or authenticated account features. Clearing form recovery does not change your account or erase submitted records.
